What if I am registered for VAT in South Africa?
If you have a valid VAT number (used for business purposes), please update your billing/tax information to include it.
Providing a valid VAT number will not exempt you from VAT charges.
If you are a business customer with a valid VAT number, you may be able to recover the VAT charged by Envato by claiming it as input tax on your South African VAT return. Please consult your tax advisor for specific guidance.
Please ensure your VAT number is up to date in your Envato account settings so that your invoices correctly reflect your business details.
Where to find invoices?

You will also be able to see VAT on your statement page, which can be accessed through your account settings for all purchases completed after 1st July 2025.
