Your choice of license depends on what sort of Envato items you want to use in your video:
- For stock footage and motion graphics: you only need to decide between the Single Use and Multi-Use licenses. If you’re only making one video for one client then the Single Use license is fine. If you’re making different videos with the same stock footage then you’ll likely want to choose the Multi-Use license.
- For After Effects and video templates: you need to choose between the Regular and Extended licenses. If people need to pay to see your video (or it will be broadcast/distributed and you will receive payment for allowing that broadcast/distribution) then you need an Extended License unless the video is an advertisement. If the video is an advertisement or will be able to be viewed for free, a Regular License is fine.
- For sound effects: you only need to decide between the Single Use and Multi-Use licenses. If you’re only making one video for one client then the Single Use license is fine. If you’re making different videos with the same sound effect then you’ll likely want to choose the Multi-Use license.
- For music: you need to decide which license to get based on your audience size and how your video will be distributed. Remember that you can always upgrade or downgrade your license if you need to!
