Two-factor authentication for your Envato Market account

To increase security on your Envato Market account, you can enable two-factor authentication (2FA). This requires you to enter an authentication code each time you log in to any Envato marketplace. You can enable or disable 2FA at any time via your Envato account.

• How do I enable two-factor authentication?

  Follow these steps to enable 2FA on your account:

  1. Ensure you're signed in to your Envato Market Account.
  2. Visit the Envato Account page.
  3. Select 'Two-factor authentication' and then 'Enable'.
     
     
  4. Download an authenticator app to your mobile device, such as Google Authenticator or Authy.
  5. Once installed, scan the QR code with your app to activate 2FA.
  6. You will see an on-screen message confirming that you’ve successfully enabled 2FA, along with a list of your backup codes. You will also receive an email confirming the change.
  7. From now on, each time you log in, you’ll be required to enter an authentication code from the app you used to set up 2FA.

  Hint: Print or save a copy of your backup codes. You will need them if you lose access to your authenticator app.

• How do I disable two-factor authentication?

  Follow these steps to disable 2FA on your account:

  1. Ensure you're signed in to your Envato Market Account.
  2. Visit the Envato Account page.
  3. Select 'Two-factor authentication' and then 'Disable'.
     
     
  4. You will need to enter your Envato password to confirm.
  5. Select 'Disable Two Factor Authentication' to complete the process.
  6. You will receive an email confirming the change.

  If you need to disable 2FA but have forgotten your password, you can reset it here. Once you have reset your password, you will need to log in to your account and provide your authentication code. Then, follow the steps above to disable 2FA.

• Signing in with a social account (Two-Factor Authentication)

  Two-factor authentication via Envato is unavailable for users signing in with a social account. You will need to manage your security settings directly through your social media provider.
