Envato Market provides two payment methods, PayPal and credit cards (Visa or Mastercard), to make purchases or to add credit to your Envato account. This article details some of the most common issues relating to the use of PayPal and credit cards on Envato Market.
I made a purchase or added credit a few hours ago, but it still hasn’t registered on my Envato Market account. What can I do?
Majority of the time PayPal or credit card payments will process instantaneously, but occasionally there can be a delay.
Often this delay is related to the original funding source. If a bank transfer was used, it can take a few days for this kind of payment to be processed.
If you did not use a bank transfer and your credit or purchase is still not shown on your Envato Market account, please contact Envato Market Help with the following information:
- Which payment provider you used; PayPal or credit card?
- The Envato Market account username related to the transaction.
- The email address related to the Paypal transaction (if applicable).
- The unique transaction ID of the payment.
- Any other receipt information relating to the transaction.
My Paypal account or funding source is not in U.S. dollars. Who manages the conversion?
All transactions that occur on Envato Market will be in U.S. dollars. If your Paypal account or funding source is in a currency other than U.S. dollars, you may incur a conversion fee by the payment provider.
To learn more about currency conversion via Paypal, please read their article about paying in another currency.
I received an email about a payment dispute or reversal and I can't log into my Envato Market account. What’s happened?
This usually happens when a transaction has been disputed. This means your Envato Market account was credited or an item was purchased, but we have not received the money.
PayPal or my card issuer won’t accept my payment. What can I do?
Unfortunately, Envato has no control over what PayPal or card issuing banks will accept as a valid payment. If you are having difficulties making a payment, you will need to contact PayPal or your bank for further information or advice.
I have not authorized a payment to Envato Market but it is appearing on my statement. What's happened?
Once a user has added credits to their Envato Market account using PayPal or a credit card, they are allowed to start purchasing and downloading digital items straight away.
If you have not authorized this, then someone may have fraudulently used your financial information. Unfortunately, Envato is unable to stop any future payments to our website if the culprit already has your valid credit card or PayPal details, as these transactions are handled by PayPal or your bank. In this case, we strongly suggest you contact PayPal or your bank immediately to inform them of the fraudulent activity so that they can stop any further payments and advise you how best to proceed.
I want to add credit in an amount which is not listed on the Add Credit page of my Envato Market account. Can I add an unlisted amount?
Unfortunately, we only allow credits to be added in the increments listed on the 'Add Credit' page. Any attempt to make a manual payment to us for any other amount will not be successful.
If you prefer not to add credit to your account, you can purchase files via the Add to Cart or Buy Now options.
I want to request a refund for an item I have purchased. Who do I contact?
Envato Market will generally only offer refunds where the item you purchased is broken, malfunctioning or corrupt, or doesn't work as described. Learn more about requesting a refund.
Please note: Opening a dispute or chargeback, will not speed up your refund request.
Can I get a refund for credits I’ve purchased processed to my PayPal account or credit card?
Envato is unable refund any amount remaining in your ‘Add Credit’ balance of your Market account to a PayPal account or credit card.
