To successfully integrate Elementor Template Kits obtained from Envato into your WordPress site, you need to follow specific steps that involve uploading and installing the templates.
Before You Begin
Verify you have an Elementor Template Kit. Envato Market offers several different template types, but only Elementor Kits can be installed using the Envato plugin. The plugin cannot install WordPress Themes, HTML Templates, Site Templates or UI/UX Templates.
Envato Elementor Template Kits contain the design data for the Elementor Page Builder plugin for WordPress only. They will always say "Elementor template kit" in the item title and filename and are found in the Elementor > Template Kits category on ThemeForest.

How to Install the Envato WordPress Plugin
Ensure you're following this process to import your kit using the Template Kit Import plugin for WordPress.
If you purchased the kit on ThemeForest, you do NOT need a subscription to Envato to use the item, but you may need a subscription for Elementor Pro, which is the premium version of Elementor. Please check the plugin requirements in the item description of the product.
- Download your kit file from your ThemeForest dashboard and do not unzip it.
- If you use Safari, you must disable "Open Safe Files after Downloading" under Preferences to ensure the file remains zipped.
- In WordPress, go to Settings > Permalinks and ensure Post Name is selected, then Save
- Go to Appearance > Themes > Add New and ensure Hello Elementor is installed and activated.
- The theme activation will prompt you to install and activate the Elementor Page Builder plugin if it is not already installed. Click Install, then Activate.
- The Elementor signup page will appear. You may click the X in the corner to close it.
- Go to Elementor > Settings and click the Features tab and ensure Flexbox Container has a green icon (if not, set to Active). This feature is required for all kits published after Oct 1, 2023
- Go to Elementor > System Info and ensure your server meets Elementor Minimum System Requirements with PHP version 8.3. Your webhost can assist with changing these values if needed.
- Go to Plugins > Add New and search for “Envato” and Install and Activate the Template Kit Import plugin

If your Kit requires Elementor Pro, you must install and connect it before continuing.

How to Import Your Kit
1. Go to Tools > Template Kit and click Upload Template Kit ZIP File. Your templates should appear.

Elementor Full Site Kits are special format kits that include a full site demo for fresh WordPress installations that do not use the Envato Elements plugin.These kits will have “Full Site Kit” in the title and filename and require Elementor Pro.

Go to Elementor > Tools > Import and follow the prompts to install your original zip file downloaded from Envato.
2. Check for the orange banner at the top of the screen and click Install Requirements to load the kit addons and settings.
3. Click Import on the Global Kit Styles first to set colors, fonts and site settings, then click Import Template on each template one at a time in the order shown.

That’s it, you’re ready to begin building your site!
- Imported templates are stored in Elementor under Templates > Saved Templates and must be inserted to a new page in WordPress before customizing.
- Imported blocks, tabs or slides are stored in Elementor under Templates > Saved Templates and may be duplicated and customized directly.
- Elementor Pro site parts are stored in Elementor under Templates > Theme Builder and are customized directly.

Creating Your Pages
- Go to Pages > Add New Page and give your page a Title, then click Edit with Elementor
- Click the X to close any Elementor popups/notifications that appear.
- Click the Envato icon in the builder area
Slow server? You may also click the grey folder icon to open the Elementor Template Library panel
- Click View Installed Kit, then ensure the template you want to use is a Page or Container template type, then click Insert Template
- If your kit does not specify "Page Template", no need to worry
- Any templates specified as a type other than Page or Container in Elementor Pro are customized through the Elementor Pro Theme Builder
- If your buttons say "Import Template", please return to Tools > Template Kit to run the imports first
- You may be prompted to Apply the Settings of the Page too? - Click Do not Apply
- Click the gear icon in the Elementor panel (located at top center or bottom left) to access Page Settings
- Select Elementor Full Width from the Page Layout drop-down. This ensures your global header and footer work, and removes the default title from the top of the page.

- If your kit includes alternate headers intended for special layouts, use Elementor Canvas to hide the global header.

Forms, Slides and Tab Blocks
Your kit may come with content block templates such as forms, tabs, slides or Pro loops that are used in combination with content widgets. In general you only need to select the appropriate block in the widget settings when customizing your pages.

Setup Header & Footers
- Your navigation menu is created in WordPress under Appearance > Menus
- Elementor Pro kits will automatically setup the header and footer under Templates > Theme Builder. If you are not seeing it in your pages, make sure the Page Layout is Elementor Full Width and the Header Template condition is Entire Site in the Theme Builder.
- If your kit is not made for Elementor Pro, it will have alternative ways to set up global headers and footers. Visit your Template Kit's item page on our website for detailed setup instructions for additional addons.

How to Set the Home Page
You may set the main landing page of your website under Settings > Reading by selecting Static Front Page and the page you want to show.
